ReStory Wiki

Editorial and sourcing policy

This independent fan reference prioritizes direct answers that a reader can trace to a dated source. It does not claim to represent Mandragora, tinyBuild, Atari, Steam, Discord, Reddit, or YouTube.

Source priority

Official storefront metadata, publisher or developer announcements, official videos, and current in-game evidence are primary sources. A second reliable source is used for gameplay claims whenever one is available. Store fields such as price, language support, and platform availability remain dated because they can change.

News previews and established publications can corroborate visible gameplay, but they do not replace current in-game testing. Community posts are useful for discovering repeated questions, bugs, and search demand. They are labeled as player reports and are not promoted to confirmed mechanics without reproduction or first-party support.

Published and researching guides

A published guide gives a direct, sourced answer and may be indexed by search engines. A researching guide remains available for editorial review but carries a noindex directive while its core answer is incomplete. Researching pages do not invent controls, values, item names, characters, routes, or release plans to fill a gap.

Open questions are written as “unconfirmed” or “not announced.” “Not announced” describes the checked sources on a specific date; it does not predict that a future port or feature is impossible. A research page becomes published only after its important answer is reproducible and useful.

Corrections and updates

Each guide shows when its sources were checked. When a live official source changes, the opening answer, status table, metadata, and date should be updated together. Conflicting official sources are shown with their dates instead of silently choosing the more convenient claim.

A correction should link the current evidence and explain the changed conclusion. Cached search snippets and unsourced summaries are not enough. Readers can report a change through the linked official community channels while this site remains in pre-launch development.

Community claims and sensitive topics

Allegations about developers, artists, assets, or player conduct require an original, attributable source and careful scope. A visual guess, vote count, repost, or automated detector is not a factual verdict. Private messages and login-gated channels are not quoted without permission and enough context to verify them.

Discussion of unofficial downloads, patches, and mods focuses on status and safety. This site does not distribute cracks, torrents, repacks, APK mirrors, trainers, replacement executables, or unverified translation packages. Official purchase and installation links take priority.

Media and independence

Official screenshots and video thumbnails are labeled with their source and used to identify or discuss the game. A link or platform embed does not create a right to repackage the media as a press kit. Requests for broader reuse should go to the developer or publisher.

ReStory simplifies electronics repair for play and should not be used as a physical service manual. Real devices can involve battery, electrical, and component hazards. Professional documentation or a qualified technician should guide real-world repairs.
